About Bill

Bill is a Toronto based composer / pianist who creates and improvises new music compositions blending contemporary harmony and jazz idioms with his unique style of piano and prepared piano playing. Bill is from London, England and moved to Toronto after studying jazz and film composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Bill has composed for film, dance and theatre and produced jazz CDs with assistance from the Canada Council and FACTOR. His compositions have been performed by Canadian new music ensembles with assistance from the Ontario Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council. As a pianist / improviser he has performed with many Canadian artists and his ongoing projects include collaborations and performances with the Toronto Improvisers Orchestra, Glen Hall, David Story, Michael Lynn, Ambrose Pottie, Kayla Milmine, Cheryl O, Penn Kemp and other artists.
